Luther Orton was quoted in The Recorder in an October 5, 2005, article which spotlighted career moves of some of the former partners of Brobeck, Phleger & Harrison.

Luther was at Gray Cary Ware & Freidenrich for a year before starting Snyder Miller & Orton LLP with Steve Snyder and James Miller.

"As Gray Cary emphasized growth and expansion efforts," writes article author Kellie Schmitt, "Orton realized he wanted the opposite. He decided to practice law in a hands-on way -- something he had always wanted to do, but likely wouldn't have if Brobeck had survived."
